Mozart’s Requiem Mass is a work with a mythic aura. The composer wrote it just months before he died, and it has since become the music of mourning par excellence.

The concert is coupled with the Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo's masterwork for double SATB chorus and large string orchestra, the Sunrise Mass.

Gjeilo’s compositional style and fingerprint is distinct and is the result of an amalgamation of cinematic and classical influences with sacred and secular elements.
